They said it was a mistake when they did it in March, but CBS News did it again this past weekend, showing footage of an Italian hospital when discussing the fight against COVID-19 in the U.S.
A March 25th CBS segment on Coronavirus in New York, features some footage of treatment at an Italian hospital, some 4 thousand miles away.
“This is the main in hospital in Bergamo, in Lombardy province (Italy), it’s one of the most advanced hospitals in Europe,” a Sky News report on March 22nd states.
The exact same video was used by CBS three days later when discussing a need for ventilators in New York state.
On April 4th CBS News did it again, this time while talking about Coronavirus patients during their CBS Weekend News broadcast.
“In Pennsylvania, cases are skyrocketing at the rate of a thousand a day,” a CBS reporter says over the video of an Italian hospital.
After the March incident CBS claimed it was “an editing mistake.”
It seems CBS News is incapable of learning from them.
It’ll be interesting to hear their excuse for this one.
