Liberals are calling for stricter gun control laws and blaming the National Rifle Association for the school shooting in Florida last week.

Vandals took the debate to a whole new level on Monday, writing on a highway billboard in Louisville, Ky., the message, “Kill the NRA.”

The vandalism was spotted on a sign on Interstate 65 North. It was tagged with “Resist 45,” a group that opposed the election of President Trump as the 45th President of the United States.

The NRA on its official Facebook page responded to the vandalism Tuesday, calling it “a wakeup call” and warning, “They’re coming after us.”

The NRA’s post has since gone viral with over 38,000 likes and nearly 60,000 shares.

The owner of the billboard, Outfront Media, said Tuesday that the vandalism had been “immediately removed,” reports Courier Journal, but not before photos of the vandalism were widely shared across social media.
