Actress Julianna Margulies Doesn't Watch the News at Night Because of Trump 'Nightmares'

4.8k views

I wasn’t the biggest fan of former president Barack Obama, but not once did I ever wake up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare I had about his administration. I’ve never let politicians get me to that point — the point of becoming delusional. We can’t say the same for the Hollywood Communistic Cult, as President Donald Trump lives rent free in their heads.

Actress Julianna Margulies, of whom I had no idea was still working after leaving “ER,” joined late-night activist Stephen Colbert earlier this week. And since “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” has become known for being pretty devoid of housing any comedic value, it was no surprise that Colbert brought up the topic of politics instead of attempting to actually entertain people.

Margulies told Colbert about a dream she had where she was irrationally screaming “a guy who’s in the Oval Office right now.”  She also spoke how she hasn’t watched the news at night since 2016, because she didn’t want to have anymore nightmares about the Trump administration.

"One of the things I stopped doing was I do not read the news at night," Margulies said. "I was waking up in the middle of the night from nightmares of just screaming. I was in a boardroom, there was a long table and it was just the guy who's in the Oval Office right now sitting there, and I walked in and I was screaming..."

When you can't even say the name of the president in the flow of what's supposed to come off as a regular conversation, you might want to see someone about that. Also, that's not really a nightmare if you're the aggressor.

Take a look:

Sheesh! Either Margulies has separate issues or I’m not that into politics, because I simply can’t relate to having angry dreams — which she confused for nightmares — about a president.

And it’s funny that she thinks being “informed” is reading the New York Times (NYT) and listening to NPR.

Now that was comedy!

It might just be me, but the self-appointed Hollywood morality police need to get over themselves and possibly seek help if politicians showing up in their dreams affect how they live their lives.

Just saying.
