Tens of thousands turned up in Richmond Virginia on Monday to send a message of support for the Second Amendment over to the State Capitol - and over a fence.

Supporters of the Second Amendment showed up carrying firearms and wearing stickers reading “Guns Save Lives" to protest a push by state Democratic lawmakers for comprehensive gun control.

The city has been on high alert for days following threats of violence and a ban on firearms in the Capitol and on its grounds.

The event went off peacefully, delivering a message of Constitutional rights instead of the violent message the leftist media warned of.
