Many of President Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees have purposely misled Congress, according to Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.).

That’s just one moment you may have missed on the floors of Congress this week.

“His nominees lead the Treasury Department, the EPA, HHS and the Justice Department. Have all misled Congress while testifying under oath,” Leahy said on the Senate floor Monday.

“As they take control of their agencies, I remind them that our laws demand an open and transparent government.”

Leahy’s dedication to an open and transparent government can be traced all the way back to last year, when he worked to shut down the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney, who represents the wealthiest Congressional district in America, where the per capita income is over $75,000 a year has concerns Planned Parenthood may no longer receive federal dollars, including Medicare reimbursements, under Trump’s health care proposal.

“Even in my district in New York, women are lined up out the building and down the block often, waiting for Planned Parenthood services,” Maloney said on the House floor Thursday.

Something tells me, when you represent the nation’s wealthiest district, the long lines outside the Planned Parenthood’s that you claim to be seeing – are most likely lines of pro-life protestors.
