There was a lots of activity in the House with the debate over the funding measure and debate over the replacement for Obamacare. A memorable moment on the House floor featured Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D -Texas) melting down about how she wants insurance companies to make a lot of profit – and how the measure would bring about people stealing bread.
In the Senate, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D- N.Y.) seemed to love how the appropriations bill for 2017 wrapped up, even though many conservatives didn't. Schumer claims that he's hopeful it's a model for future budgets.
That's a future many of us would prefer to avoid.
