These news stories, unfortunately, are becoming a regular occurrence.
In September, it was reported that a fugitive illegal alien from Guatemala raped a 12-year-old girl in Wisconsin. In August, it was reported that an illegal immigrant in Maryland raped a 16-year-old girl at knifepoint, making him the fifth undocumented immigrant to be arrested on rape charges in Montgomery County that month alone.
Now, it has been revealed that a 19-year-old man arrested on Tuesday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the rape of a 12-year-old was an illegal immigrant.
Tuscaloosa News reports that Mario Pablo Ortiz was arrested on first- and second-degree rape by police.
“Upon arrival, officers were informed that a 12-year-old female victim was engaged in an ongoing intimate relationship with Mario Pablo Ortiz, 19 year old male,” TPD spokeswoman Lt. Teena Richardson said. “The complainant informed officers that the victim left home in a vehicle with the suspect.”
"Police found the girl and Ortiz at a residence in the 1600 block of 44th Avenue, she said," the local news outlet reports. "Ortiz was also charged with interference with custody. He was being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail Tuesday with bond set at $80,000."
Senior Editor at Conservative Review Daniel Horowitz wrote on Wednesday that he could “confirm from an ICE spokesman that this 19-year-old is an illegal alien from Guatemala.”
Whether the man has any priors or a warrant for his arrest remains to be revealed. MRCTV has reached out to ICE for comment. This story is developing.
The news comes as more cities including Las Vegas, Nevada order their local law enforcement not to cooperate with federal immigration officials.
