At one point in George Orwell’s “1984,” protagonist Winston Smith, who works in the truth-hiding “Ministry of Truth,” thinks, “The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.”   He wrote eternal words that befit most government agencies, politicians, and their media lackeys -- and they perfectly fit the behavior of that brazen insult to the Constitution known as the “…

Following the shameless idiocy of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s 2020 “Mother Earth is angry” claim following California wildfires, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s completely false June claim that wildfires in his nation were more numerous and worsened as a result of “Climate Change,” multiple collectivist politicians in the U.S. now are pouncing on the tragic fires that…

As Doug French reports for The Mises Institute, Yellow, one of America’s biggest trucking companies, has shut down. The news is troubling, sad, and seems to open a window onto other considerations that run the important gamut from economic, to ethical, to constitutional. French notes: “After ninety-nine years in business, Yellow, one of the nation’s biggest trucking companies, shut…

MRCTV readers likely know how closely we have been following the stunning revelations concerning Biden “Energy Secretary” Jennifer Granholm, her ties to a federally-subsidized and promoted electric vehicle (“EV”) maker, the inherent real-world problems of electric vehicles, the climate canards oft-employed to distract people from those fundamentals, and Granholm’s extra-long delay in revealing…

Acquaintances who are gullible enough to buy into the “anthropogenic climate change” narrative (despite its underlying fallacies about carbon-dioxide driving Terran temps, despite repeated revelations of data manipulation conducted to lend credibility to alarmist claims and demands for government clampdowns on our freedom) likely are gullible enough to believe that solar panels are a “cure-all”…

In a move running counter to suggestions in the classic Dale Carnegie book, “How to Win Friends and Influence People,” and, evidently unsatisfied with angering millions by blocking a young mom from getting her baby to a London hospital, the radical Climate Cult group “Just Stop Oil” appears to be planning massively disruptive protests in England this fall. The Daily Mail UK reports that…

Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FLA) announced August 1 his attempt to do something that, for more than half a century, many liberty-backers and constitutionalists might have hoped a D.C. politician would try. He has introduced legislation to abolish the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which, as he notes, pushes “radical, leftist ideology abroad.” It is a noble endeavor,…

Yet another fight for freedom of speech within the so-called “Ivory Tower” is in the news, and it hints that sometimes the most prominent aspects of the free-speech fights can shield people from carrying away other important lessons. David Glasser reports for The College Fix: “A former Texas biology professor has filed a religious discrimination charge with the U.S. Equal Employment…

Ahh, the good ol’ days - the days of the Paleolithic and Neolithic, when our distant ancestors sheltered in caves and cowered beneath animal skins to keep warm, when they cooked over open flame and tried to maintain the fire in order to stop the encroaching fingers of Jack Frost… Given Democrat Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s new decree, one might think she was a fan of those days as well, because…

It wasn’t a day-late April Fool's joke when we reported on April 2 that the long-dreaded, already-market-damaging “ban” on the sale of incandescent light bulbs was mere months away. Perhaps because the idea of constitutionality has, for some time now, seemingly been banned in America, the incandescent “ban” takes effect on August 1, though Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s Cheshire Cat…
