'Boobquake' Cleric Defends Earthquate-Promiscuity Link

According to the Associated Press, the Iranian cleric who last month claimed that promiscuity and immodest dress caused earthquakes has now defended and added on to his statements saying,  "God may be holding off natural disasters in the West in order to let people sin more and consign themselves to hell." Last month, Kazeem Sedighi raised eyebrows when he stated during a prayer sermon that earthquakes were directly linked to the way certain women dress. Sedighi added that some may question why there aren't more earthquakes and storms in the Western nations that are "up to their necks" in immorality. His answer? " God allows some of those who "provoke His wrath" to continue sinning" so that they (eventually) go to the bottom of Hell." After the cleric first made his statements a month ago, a mockery campaign was started by online blogger Jennifer McCreight, an atheist and feminist who wanted to 'prove a point' about science and religious fundamentalism called 'Boobquake'.
