Former Washington Wizards player Gilbert Arenas blasted the LGBT community as the "most unfair group" in the world in a VladTV interview posted on Sunday, slamming the ever-changing rules about gender and language the rest of us are expected to know and remember even as they shift from day to day.
While discussing the unbalanced and “hypersensitive” climate of today’s culture with the show’s host, DJ Vlad, Arenas brought up the LGBT community as an example.
“The LGBT, I think it’s the most unfair group walking the planet right now,” Arenas said. When asked to elaborate on that position, Arenas talked about the LGBT “playbook” and called it unfair that people can get “canceled” for not knowing rules that are constantly changing.
“They have a playbook that only they are playing by that they can only see—no one else gets to see this playbook, but we’re being judged by everything that’s in this playbook, but we don’t know it,” Arenas said. “How do we know? You’re making it up as you go…it’s not like there’s this f–king dictionary of updates.”

Arenas asserted that one of the roots of this problem is a low tolerance for people who are learning and an unwillingness to have open conversations.
“There’s no open dialogue about what is appropriate, what’s not. We only find out after we f–k up. That’s unfair, right?” Arenas said. “We’re just learning, right, and that’s really unfair that you can cancel somebody on a playbook that only you have.”
He condemned the hypocrisy of members of the LGBT community for being able to say “whatever they want” to people, but others not being able to respond for fear of being labeled homophobic, transphobic, etc.
“Having an argument with somebody from the LGBT, f–king suicide…They have the whole dictionary to use against you. Right, they can say whatever the f–k they want. They can technically make a straight man gay.”
