Singer and actress Olivia Rodrigo has taken the internet and entertainment industry by storm these past few years. From her days as a Disney star to her very successful music career following her debut single  “Driver’s License”, Rodrigo has had an undeniable influence on the women and girls of Generation Z.

However, such great influence comes with great responsibility, and while many are drawn to her talent, they may want to look elsewhere for moral and ideological guidance.

We have constantly seen how the stars of Hollywood continue to misinform their audience with their radical takes, and Rodrigo is no exception.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Rodrigo expressed her views on the overturn of Roe V. Wade last June – referencing an article written by her interviewer Jia Tolentino.

Rodrigo called the overturn “actually insane” and “sickening”.

This seems to be a pretty extreme reaction for a decision that simply put the issue of abortion under the control of states.

She continued by saying how women and girls over multiple generations will be “forced to give birth if they get pregnant.”

“It is so scary. It’s such a terrifying reality,” Rodrigo added.

Rodrigo expressed similar sentiments at her 2022 performance in Glastonbury, CT, shortly after the Dobbs v. Jackson case was solidified. “So many women and so many girls are going to die because of this,” she claimed. I guess she ignores the number of baby girls whose will be born. Almost 10,000 additional babies were born in Texas during a nine-month period after the state banned abortions after six weeks.

During that 2022 performance, she welcomed Lily Allen to sing her song “F**k You" after the two singers dedicated the song to the United States Supreme Court justices who voted in favor of Dobbs calling them out by name.

Strangely, Rodrigo asked the same interviewer about her life as a working mother, saying, “I’m so excited to experience motherhood one of these days. I think about it all the time.”

So Rodrigo is excited about motherhood but advocates for the severance of motherhood through the killing of babies in the womb.

Women will not die due to their inability to get an abortion. In cases of high-risk pregnancies or miscarriages, even the states with the strictest abortion laws recognize these circumstances as an exception to abortion with the intent to save the mother’s life.

Instead of Rodrigo claiming that women are “forced to give birth,” she should recognize that it's more forceful to rip a child from the mother’s womb, as it brutally disturbs the natural process of pregnancy and birth. To have an abortion is to forcefully interfere with nature.

If Rodrigo really was "pro-woman," she would take the time to educate herself more thoroughly and inform her audience accurately.
