Women Dragged Off a Southwest Plane After Claiming She Has Dog Allergies

Cellphone video showing yet another person being dragged off an airplane went viral this week. This time, it was a woman on a westbound Southwest flight to Los Angeles from Baltimore who demanded that two dogs, one of which was a service animal, be removed from the cabin.

The woman claimed to have a life-threatening allergy to dogs and asked flight attendants to remove the pets from the flight. Unfortunately for her, Southwest policy requires medical documentation for those with dog allergies, and instead asked the woman to leave the flight out of concern that she would not be able to travel safely.

According to a witness named Bill Dumas, the woman became noncompliant and refused to leave the airplane, giving police officers no choice but to forcibly drag her off the plane.

In the video, the woman can be seen acting out in defiance against the police officers, often resisting their commands. The police officers become increasingly irritated as they are forced to physically push and pull her down the aisle.

As the woman resists, onlookers can be heard asking the woman to "just walk" and "please show [the police officers] that you're walking." However, the woman continues to resist and makes all kinds of claims including, "I'm pregnant," "My dad has a surgery," and "I'm a professor, what are you doing?"

Southwest has responded to the now-viral video by reiterating its policy regarding life-threatening allergies. Th airline also issued a public apology to the woman, stating that they will soon contact her to address her concerns.
