We all make mistakes in life. But most of us don't make mistakes this big.

At some point in her life, New York woman Tabitha West decided it would be a great idea to get a tattoo proclaiming her love of marijuana on her forehead. Now, it seems she's realized her mistake.

In order to rectify the situation, West has create a GoFundMe account asking for donations to get the tattoo, which reads "420" (a number that infers a love of marijuana), removed.

He GoFundMe request reads:

I am wanti,g $ to get that tattoo off my for head I want to have a better start out in life and have a second chance at life please help me I was young n dumb when I got that I'm older one looking for a job can't get out and people call me a druggie every day of my life and being called 420 is not nice and I almost killed my self over it. … can't stand to look at my face anymore. .save a life save me..invest in me and I will show you I can be better with my life. ..thank you.

She can't get a job with a huge tattoo on her forehead?! Shocker!

While West's decision to get the tattoo in the first place was incredibly dumb, what is even more shocking is that her request for help from Internet strangers has ACTUALLY WORKED!

Yup!

As of Monday, West has raised more that $1,000 on the crowd-funding site. This exceeds the goal she initially set of $800.

While her effort has been successful, many of those who have commented on her GoFundMe page are furious at both West and those who have contributed to her tattoo removal effort.

One commenter wrote:

Its people like you that keep my sick girl from getting help. My daughter has three brain tumors, cerebral palsy, neurofibromatosis, an optic glioma, & a feeding tube. My daughters GoFundMe keeps getting passed over for things like this. There are too many people begging for money for their bad decisions in their life, meanwhile my very sick 10 year old daughter can get the help she needs."
