Last Tuesday, a young Michigan woman went to a clinic to undergo an abortion. On Thursday, she was found dead in the basement of her mother’s home. The woman’s name has not been released to news outlets.
The victim's family reported to the police that four days after undergoing the procedure, she began feeling severe pains in her stomach. She reportedly went to a hospital in Battle Creek, where she was given pain medicine and told to see her primary physician following her treatment.
Battle Creek police are unsure whether or not the woman’s death showed criminal intent, was natural or was medical-related. The investigation is still in its beginning stages and detectives will not have an answer for the next three to four weeks as the autopsy report is being finalized.
It's also unknown where the woman underwent the abortion procedure and what exactly was disclosed during her emergency hospital visit. But the investigator assigned to the case, Sgt. Troy Gilleylen, told WWMT West Michigan News that they have reason to believe that the woman did express to the hospital staff that she had recently received an abortion.
Gilleylen also stated that the woman’s body had “no signs of any foul play or any external injury or anything that appeared to be out of the ordinary.”
In 2012, the Center for Disease Control reported 424 women had died from complications following their abortion between 1973 and 2011. That was 4 years ago. If this woman did lose her life due to a poorly performed abortion, not only has she just become another statistic for the CDC, but another life that pro-abortionists out there will disregard in order to continue pushing their agenda.
