Tennessee Woman Fends Off Attempted Rapist With Her Handgun

1.7k views

In Arlington, Tennessee, an unnamed woman reported her son’s friend for assault and attempted rape. And here's why her story's not getting much play in the media: she defended herself with her handgun.

Jordan Corter, who was staying the night with a friend, was arrested after allegedly knocking on the door to his friend's mom's room around 2 a.m. When she opened the door, he immediately began assaulting her, reports claim.

The woman said she resisted by kicking Corter in the groin. While he was momentarily down, she grabbed her pistol, aimed, and demanded that he leave.

The alleged incident took place on Sunday evening, but wasn’t reported until Monday after the woman confided in one of her coworkers.

So here's the bottom line: guns empower women. And it happens all the time.

Kimberly Corban, a sexual assault survivor and 2nd Amendment/NRA advocate famously questioned former President Obama’s gun control initiatives by stating, "It seems like being able to purchase a firearm of my choosing, and being able to carry that wherever me and my family are -- it seems like my basic responsibility as a parent at this point."

"I have been unspeakably victimized once already and I refuse to let that happen again to myself or my kids," she added.

While March for Our Lives protesters plan a national Road to Change tour to influence young voters to help restrict the rights of gun owners, this Tennessee woman's life may have been saved because she had a gun to defend herself -- all thanks to the Second Amendment.

But, hey, no better way to empower women than by stripping away their defenses. Right, Hogg?
