Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis says his state will fight President Biden’s plan to create a “Disinformation Governance Board” within the Department of Homeland Security, supposedly created to combat fake news and “protect election integrity” heading into November.

DeSantis, who is also currently leading the fight against “woke” Disney and its efforts to indoctrinate American children with radical LGBTQ propaganda, accused Biden of creating a “Ministry of Truth” to “put out false narratives.”

“We reject this bureau in the state of Florida,” DeSantis added. “We believe it’s essential that individual Floridians and Americans be able to speak out against false narratives trying to be jammed down our throats by this regime.”

“You cannot have a Ministry of Truth in this country,” he went on. “We’re not going to let Biden get away with this one. We will be fighting back.”

“What they want to do is they want to be able to put out false narratives without people being able to speak out and fight back,” DeSantis added. “They want to be able to say things like ‘Russian collusion’ and perpetuate hoaxes and have people like us be silenced.”

The administration has claimed that the board will keep tabs on foreign-originated messages that attempt to influence U.S. elections, as well as messaging being sent to Central America urging migrants to illegally enter the United States.

However, Biden’s move to tap Nina Jankowicz to head up the “disinformation” wing is particularly concerning, given her open dismissal of the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell as baseless pro-Trump propaganda, and her publicly stated opposition to Elon Musk’s Twitter buy-out.
