A Jacksonville, Florida law enforcement officer was attacked while responding to a report of shots fired and the incident was caught on video.
The disgusting incident occurred late last week. The video shows the officer with his service rifle strapped to his back being attacked. The officer never uses the weapon while getting knocked to the ground and assaulted while some onlookers laugh.
The officer was reportedly investigating a report of gunfire when he encountered a group of people fighting in the street.

The Sheriff’s Office said the officer tried to detain one woman, identified by police as Jermisha Ramsey, and pulled his Taser. According to the report, the officer put the red pointer on her and told her to get to the ground, when an unidentified person stepped in front of Ramsey and attempted to keep the officer from arresting her.
Ramsey has been charged with assaulting a police officer. The name of the person who attempted to prevent her arrest was redacted from the report.
Fortunately, the officer only suffered cuts and bruises.
