In one of the more bizarre videos of the year – and there’s certainly been no shortage – group of crazed bicyclists attacked a middle-aged couple sitting in their SUV at an intersection in broad daylight in Manhattan.
In the video, several cyclists, all of them young, viciously attack the car, slamming into it and beating it with their fists. One man gets a running start and jumps on the windshield, partially caving it in. Another picks up a bike and throws it on the hood of the vehicle while another jumps atop the car and stomps.

A video shot from another angle shows the group of about 50 youth on bicycles blocking traffic at the time of the attack, which reportedly occurred at the intersection of 21st St. and 5th Ave.

The couple, a man and woman in their 50s, was reportedly afraid for their lives.
“This was an animalistic attack in broad daylight,“ one NYC cop said following the attack. “It shows how far the city has deteriorated and the politicians better get their heads out of the sand and start to deal with these problems before there is nothing left.”
The same group of cyclists reportedly attacked a cab a short time later. Police say they’re investigating both incidents, but it’s not yet clear what led to the attack.
