WATCH: Good Samaritans Tackle Thief, Stop Assault on 76-Year-Old Woman

We need more Good Samaritans like these.

Parking lot surveillance captures the attempted robbery and assault of a 76-year-old woman outside of a Winn Dixie grocery store in broad daylight. Three good Samaritans responded by chasing and tackling the thief down to the ground.

“What if that was my grandmother?” said the first to respond, Kendrick Taylor.

"When I looked down, I didn't know if he had a knife or a gun but, I just saw the lady, and she was so old. And when he threw her down, she was so fragile and I knew that she needed help."

He continued, “He definitely should face some kind of jail time. He has to know what he did was very wrong.”

The 23-year-old culprit was already on probation for a prior offense and has been charged with attempted robbery and battery.
