An attendee of the CNN Democratic Presidential Town Hall in Des Moines, Iowa on Monday told former secretary of state Hillary Clinton that he became a huge fan of hers after watching the Benghazi hearing back in October.
“Madam Secretary, before I ask my question, I have a quick comment, and that is that I was a lukewarm person for you before the Benghazi hearings,” said Dick Goodson, chairman of the Des Moines Committee on Foreign Relations.
“I watched all 11 hours, every second of it, and came away from that a gung-ho supporter of yours.”
His statement received a round of applause from the audience at Drake University.
Goodson went on to ask Clinton about her "philosophy" on foreign policy.
