WATCH: Criminal Shaming Video Goes Viral

Alan Moore | February 18, 2016

If this video doesn't make you proud of law enforcement, then you don't have a pulse.

The video was released by Capt. Clay Higgins, of Louisiana law enforcement fame. In it, he pleads for help from the community in catching dangerous members of the Gremlins Gang who are wanted for murder, dealing drugs, threatening witnesses, weapons charges and more.

From the local KATC report:

Higgins rallied more than a dozen law enforcement agencies to send a strong message to the Gremlins Gang and people of Acadiana. He said, "I'm hopeful that the Acadiana community can make a strong stand, and by extension, perhaps the country, will hear this message and make a strong, unified stand when a community comes together and draws a bold line in the sand and says we're not going to tolerate that kind of violence in our area."

Higgins not only describes the need to catch these criminals but also addresses racial issues. Black community leaders are standing next to each law enforcement officer in the background.

He also has a stern warning:

"If you raise your weapon to a man like me, we'll return fire with superior fire. ... I'll meet you on solid ground anytime, anywhere, light or heavy, makes no difference to me. You won't walk away," he said.

Captain Higgins has a brilliant history of criminal shaming. He is seen here looking for criminals who broke into a local supermarket. And here discussing vandalism at a local business. And here he is on the Tonight Show.
