Politicians and pundits top the list of the nine most bizarre cameo appearances you’ll see tonight when “Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!” debuts on the SyFy Channel.
The cheesy “Sharknado” franchise is so awful, it’s become widely popular – so popular, in fact, that even conservative politicians want face-time in it. So, here’s a list of the most surprising cameos of celebrities you used to respect that might make you say, “Oh, Hell No!!
- Ann Coulter: The unabashed conservative commentator will be playing the Vice President of the United States. Newsbusters compiled a video of all of Coulter's scenes in the video below.
- Michele Bachmann: The former Republican congressman (yes, she prefers “congressman”) and Tea Party leader will appear as herself.
- Anthony Weiner: The former Democrat congressman who left office in disgrace due to his sexting escapades plays a sharknado-tracker for NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration)
- Mark Cuban: Billionaire – and, yes, “Shark Tank” star Mark Cuban plays the President (who has to deal with Ann Coulter as his #2?)
- Matt Lauer: The “Today Show” host will be making a return appearance to the franchise, declaring: "I've never gotten more response to anything in my 20-something-year career at the TODAY show than 'Sharknado 2.’"
- Lou Ferrigno: “The Hulk” actor will play “Agent Banner” (Get it? Don’t know if his first name will be “Bruce”).
- Penn & Teller: The comedians/illusionists will play retired military officers and NASA big-wigs.
- Jerry Springer: The former Democrat Mayor of Cincinnati plays a tourist named Mr. White.
- Bill Engvall: The alleged conservative entertainer and “Blue Collar Comedy” troupe member will portray the White House Chief of Staff Gary Martin Hays.
