In this week’s Wacky Moments of Liberal Expression:
The leftist networks like to shout a lot about the whistleblower complaint - but strangely remain silent about aspects of the story that don't go with their narrative.
Between the 20 and 30th of September the networks gave more than 7 hours of coverage to the whistleblower complaint – and just minutes of all that coverage mentioned Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden and his sweetheart deal with an Ukranian energy company.
On Wednesday this week ABC and CBS failed to even mention the revelation that the whistleblower consulted with a staffer for House Democrat Adam Schiff before filing a formal complaint. On Thursday, NBC’s Today show made a quick note of it – and quickly downplayed it.
CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin this week jumped into a deep pool of absurdity. Baldwin lectured her viewers about how raising questions about the Biden family or the whistleblower was tantamount to spreading conspiracy theories. And to back her up, she turned to none other than fired FBI official, proven liar, and CNN contributor Andrew McCabe.
On Thursday it was revealed that just as the president had claimed, the whistleblower was indeed a Democrat. ABC, NBC and CBS news – just didn’t feel that was worth mentioning . CNN’s Jake Tapper did bring it up, ignored the part of the IG report that noted the whistleblower favored “a rival candidate” –and then hosted a guest to conclude it’s all a “nothingburger.”
MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski claimed that, in contrast with Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren is well-positioned to benefit from the possible impeachment of President Trump because: "Elizabeth Warren’s life reflects her message and that definitely works at a time like this because people are looking for truth." Does "Fauxcohantas" ring a bell, Mika?
MSNBC’s Chuck Todd declared for roughly the millionth time that we are in a “national nightmare” and the president is attacking democracy. What makes it really special this week is Todd said, “I don’t say this lightly.” Apparently forgetting the weight of the many, many, other times he has ranted in the same manner about President Trump.
