In a Washington post Live interview with Robert Costa, Vice President Mike Pence both claimed that the President of Honduras says "leftist groups" are financing the caravan to "challenge our border" and that “It’s inconceivable that there are not people of Middle Eastern descent in a crowd of 7,000 people advancing towards our border."

He backed that statement up by adding:

In the last fiscal year, we apprehended more than 10 terrorists or suspected terrorists per day at our southern border from countries that are referred to in the lexicon as ‘other than Mexico’ — that means from the Middle East region.

A local reporter from Spanish-speaking news network Univision also corroborated this claim, as MRCTV has previously reported, saying

Yesterday when we were traveling through Guatemala, we noticed people from El Salvador and even people from Bangladesh,” he continued. “Can you imagine what they had to do to get here? They infiltrated themselves in this caravan and tried to cross with the crowd. That would have benefited them greatly.

The involvement of Venezuela, if confirmed as true, is a sinister, but somewhat predictable development. There have been reports a senior administration official confirmed that Mike Pence had a phone call with President Juan Orlando Hernández of Honduras regarding the immigration crisis at hand.
