“It’s dangerous to describe the media” as “monolithic,” Yahoo New Editor Katie Couric warned MRCTV at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Cleveland, Ohio, on Thursday.

Asked if she thought the media were sensationalizing the underwhelming protests against the RNC, Couric said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about – and issued her warning:

“You know, I mean, not here, I don’t think, in Cleveland. As far as I can tell. You know, I’ve been so busy doing my own coverage, I haven’t really watched that much of what’s been going on. You know, I think that it’s died down, you know, as the week has gone on.

“So, it’s dangerous to describe the media – it is not monolithic – so, I don’t know what you’re talking about, in terms of some of the sensationalism, because I haven’t really seen that.”
