VIDEO: ‘I Was Going to Rob This Place, But I Know You,’ Robber Tells Clerk

A masked man walked into a Colorado convenience store prepared to rob the joint when he recognized the clerk and changed his mind.

“F---, I was going to rob this place, but I know you,” he told the clerk.

The man then asked, “Do you know me?”

When the Quick Save clerk replied he did not recognize the would-be robber, the man said, “Good” and turned to leave the store.

He even flashed a thumbs-up on the way out.

Shortly after, a 7-Eleven was robbed by a man fitting the same description:

“The suspect left in an older, 1990s, full-size, gray or silver four-door sedan. It has dark purple tinted windows and no visible license plates.

“He was wearing a blue hoodie jacket, blue bandana, blue jeans, and red and yellow shoes. He had the bandana over the lower half of his face and the hoodie pulled over his head.”

The robbery suspect has yet to be apprehended by law enforcement. Persons with information regarding the crime are asked to call the Jeffco Sheriff’s Office tip-line at 303-271-5612.

The first clerk apparently lucked out. I guess it pays to know the right people.
