A group of Hawaiians who believe that the state was unlawfully annexed by the United States and is, therefore, a sovereign nation visited Washington D.C, last week. They delivered a petition to the U.S. Department of State and remind the Obama Administration of their official position, and MRCTV was there to talk to them.
One problem. If Hawaii is a sovereign nation, as the group contends, then it means that Obama does not have legal authority over Hawaii. Since he was born in the "Hawaiian Kingdom," they say it also means that Obama is not even a U.S. citizen and, therefore, is NOT ELIGIBLE to be the President of the United States.
The separatists cited a key benefit from the success of their "Free Hawaii" push: money. "We could get out of the national debt," Leon Seu, who claimed to be the "Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Hawaiian Kingdom," told us.
"At the time of the overthrow, Hawaii was the richest country on the planet," another claimed.
