Jeffrey Cote was driving on the highway when a heavy sheet of ice took flew off the roof of the SUV ahead of him.
Cote kept calm as the sheet flipped through the air, confident that it would hit the ground ahead of his vehicle. Though, according to his dash cam footage, he probably should have put more effort into dodging the heavy mass of ice.
“An ice sheet flew off the top of an SUV and destroyed my windshield, bent my wiper arm, and damaged my side mirror,” Cote wrote. “If I had braked harder, I could have avoided impact, but it initially appeared the piece was going to fall in front of me."
Thankfully, Cote’s windshield held up and he was physically unharmed.
Hopefully, seeing this video will inspire people to take a little more time clearing ice and snow from their vehicles before traveling busy roads.
