Univision's Acquisition of 'The Onion' Stinks of Illegal Immigrant Propaganda

Univision’s acquisition of “The Onion” is a recipe for pro-illegal immigration propaganda.

According to NPR, Univision has obtained a controlling interest in the satire publication:

“Univision Communications Inc., the parent company to the nation's leading Spanish-language broadcast channel, has acquired a controlling stake in the satirical news site The Onion, NPR has learned.”

At first glance, this might seem like an odd, but innocuous, move to diversify – but, if you “Peel The Onion” (so to speak), the satire site’s immigration take has been decidedly one-sided, even before the purchase.

For example, there’s this “hit-piece” on Sen. Marc Rubio (R-Fla.):

"Rubio Refutes Claim He Soft On Immigration By Dragging Undocumented Worker He Knocked Out Cold Onto Stage"

Then, there’s this article accusing Donald Trump of border hypocrisy:

"Details Of Donald Trump’s Immigration Plan"

“The Onion” portrays politicians who support secure borders as eager to electrocute illegal immigrants and to call out the troops to deal with them:

"GOP Candidates Fiercely Divided Over How Much Voltage Border Wall Should Be Electrified With"

"John Boehner Calls For National Guard To Deal With Illegal Immigrants Hiding In Mexico"

Over at its new parent company, Univision anchor Jorge Ramos has even gone so far as to accuse Sen. Rubio and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) of race treason.

So, given “The Onion’s” track record, I’d look for mockery of border security to heat up now that Univision is stirring the pot.
