At Uncommon Sense, the mind-numbingly stupid will find no refuge. The sky is blue. Water is wet. Look both ways when crossing the street. Every kiss begins with Kay.

We don’t prey on people’s legitimate sensitivities, but we hunt for faux outrage - and whatever the heck “micro-aggressions” are supposed to be.

We’re going to Liberalville, and taking them to a place called reality!

This week’s victim, err…”Golden Jackass” trophy winner is a student from the University of Massachusetts (UMass). Jennie Chenkin, come on down! You’re the next contestant on “Stop Crying. You’re Gonna Get My Suit Wet!”

Last week, Chenkin and some of her fellow special little flowers attended an event on campus hosted by UMass Republicans called “The Triggering.” The event featured conservative firebrand Milo Yiannopoulos, former philosophy professor and American Enterprise Institute scholar Christina Hoff Sommers, and conservative “Louder with Crowder” host Steven Crowder.

Chenkin and her ilk booed, yelled and utterly disrupted the event from the minute the first speaker, Crowder, picked up the microphone. Crowder wasn’t going to take it, and let these "social justice warriors” have it. You can read my blog on Crowder’s comments here, but for the sake of context I’m going to include a comment Crowder gave to the SJWs:

These people wanted to come out and have a good time, hear a few jokes, some thoughtful discussion, but your head pops off the pillow in the morning with ‘Oh! How can I be a professional victim today? Let me go in and screw with their act just because.’ Oh my God! Your parents didn’t tell you that your opinion wasn’t worth that much.

So what did Chenkin and her friends do? They screamed obscenities because they had no valid argument. They could not stand the fact that opinions that were not their own were going to be heard on their campus -- and yes, it's their campus now.

These politically correct loons have now made university administrations so afraid of anyone being offended by anything that they bow to the students. When I was a kid, we were scared out of our minds at the thought of being sent to the principal’s office. Now these kids get a warning instead of any substantive punishment, so they just end up doing it again.

Anyway, after Chenkin and the Care Bears got owned, Breitbart reported that she proceeded to write a 2,344-word email to the university describing all the ways she had been victimized by the situation and a few demands that she felt entitled to because of her victimization. For the sake of not turning all of your brains into mush, I am only going to share a couple of her best gems.

Let’s begin with Chenkin asking if she is “special”:

Is my personal safety and the safety of individuals on your campus (and beyond) less important to you than the freedom to publicly humiliate people, as supposedly protected by free speech? I ask you, UMass and UMass Republicans, why are you endorsing and condoning harassment? Why are you putting me and others in danger? This is not funny and it is not a joke and I demand action be taken to remedy this situation and prevent anything like this from ever happening again.

Miss Chenkin, do you suppose that the constant interruptions, obscenities and suppression of the First Amendment you and your fellow Sally Kohn Ferguson lovers perpetrated on the UMass Republican event could be construed as harassment in and of itself?

The answer to that is, yes. Why, in your eyes, is it only harassment when you feel victimized for somebody calling you out on your hypocrisy? The reason we don’t whine and complain to governing bodies when protestors or other self-important snowflakes absolutely have to let us know how they feel is because we have more important things to do with our lives. Like, literally anything else.

Oh, and how are you in danger? Literally no one would know who you are if you didn’t spout off, foaming at the mouth all the time. No one wants to cause you harm, because in all honesty no one cares.

We don’t feel the need to indoctrinate others with our beliefs, because our personal beliefs are just that: personal. Our heads will not explode if our voices are not heard, because we understand that everyone might not believe what we believe. Of course, common sense is not so common, so from time to time we might have to try and give people a verbal kick in their nether regions.

Here’s another overwhelmingly profound piece of wisdom from Chenkin’s letter (and note that this demand is a threat that would fall under the blackmail category):

I demand appropriate disciplinary action be taken against UMass Republicans. I request they be met with and lectured on cyberbullying and harassment. I request they be indicted into a probationary period and their actions monitored so as to ensure they are not endorsing behavior which puts other people in danger. I request an apology from UMass Republicans for condoning the harassment I and countless others have been subjected to as a result of their atrocious event on Monday. I expect a response from UMass representatives regarding the condoning of harassment, cyberbullying, and hate speech on the part of UMass Republicans and the UMass institution which hosted their event. I will wait until 10 AM on Friday, April 29, and if I do not receive a response by then, I will escalate my demands and will go to the press about this situation.

So what you’re telling me is that you’re going to go the press about the event that has been reported by some of the press? Genius on her part. Then again, if she went to the press, they would ignore the fact that Chenkin and the other protesters were disrupting and shouting obscenities during “The Triggering” event. Instead, they would focus on things such as Crowder’s response to the protesters and Yiannopoulos’ comments at the event. The whole thing would turn Chenkin into a martyr.

When it comes down to it, Miss Chenkin, no one cares. Even if they did care, it would only be for a day or two. We live in an A.D.D. society where people are constantly looking for the newest thing. The newest piece of news, the newest car on the lot, the newest cell phone, and the newest flavor of Oreo cookie…okay, maybe that last one is just me.

Your opinion holds as much weight as something that doesn’t hold that much weight. Heck, my opinion really doesn’t matter either. The difference between people like you and people like me is that I welcome conversation and differing opinions on matters. Not everyone is going to agree with my take on things, and I’m fine with that. I promise I won’t protest you or shout obscenities at you if you do not like what I have to say.

Therefore Miss Chenkin, for writing such a passionate letter that has given me material this week, you are the proud recipient of the “Golden Jackass” trophy. And who wouldn’t be proud to receive such an elegant trophy? He’s pretty.

And yes, the “Golden Jackass” identifies as male.
