As though a man stealing women's scholarships, trophies and opportunities because he simply claims he's a female weren't bad enough, the U.K.’s University and College Union has declared anyone should be able to “self-identify” as whatever they wish, including as being black or disabled.

“Our rules commit us to ending all forms of discrimination, bigotry and stereotyping. UCU has a long history of enabling members to self-identify whether that is being black, disabled, LGBT+ or women,” the UCU said in a statement.

However, while the statement adds that “UCU supports the right of all women (including trans women) to safe spaces and the continuation of monitoring that can help identify discrimination against women, men and those who identify as non-binary,” the UCU never explicitly explained how or why they support those who co-opt other identities, including “self-identifying” as disabled.

Which, frankly, just sounds like a quick way to get a better parking spot.

Unfortunately, such bizarreness doesn’t come without at least some precedent. Dyed-in-the-wool white girl Rachel Dolezal famously found herself at the point of the public gun after claiming she was a black woman, even to the point of heading up her local NAACP chapter. It turned out, however, that Dolezal was simply a naturally freckle-faced Caucasian woman in cornrows and a baked-on tan.

Likewise, others – albeit relatively few, thank God – have made headlines for “self-identifying” as disabled, including several individuals who went the extra mile and actually mutilated themselves to fit into the handicapped body they believe they were truly born to have.
