U.K. Police Dept. Urges People to Turn in Others for 'Offensive Comments'

The need to be a victim in today’s society comes with a hefty price — our freedoms. We’ve seen the U.K. become prisoner to political correctness and "feelings over reality" all in an effort to never offend anyone. It’s a pipe dream and a dumb one at that.

However, the South Yorkshire Police in England have now doubled-down on policing speech.

Take a look:

Apparently, the recent re-push for increased thought-policing stems from an incident involving a Muslim woman allegedly using a machete to stab a man while reportedly shouting “kill, kill, kill” before being talked down by a Muslim man, according to multiple sources.

The public response to the incident must have been fiery and extensive, because South Yorkshire Deputy Chief Constable Mark Roberts commented on the hurtful online comments on the police department’s website.

Here’s what Roberts said in a statement:

In the wake of this weekend’s incident in Barnsley, we have seen a significant increase on our social media platforms of offensive abuse against our communities. The comments are vile and offensive and ironically, the bigotry expressed re-emphasises the need to tackle hate both within our local communities, and much wider.

Unfortunately, we see this type of offensive content on a regular basis. This will undoubtedly cause distress and fear to people within our communities. We have seen unacceptable comments, and will seek to prosecute, those responsible where appropriate.

We will not tolerate this type of messaging and will continue, together with our partners, to raise awareness of hate.

Holy SJW, Batman! Remember when cops were “perceived” as tough? What happened? In the U.K., the “vast majority of U.K. police don’t carry guns.” That duty is left for specially trained firearm officers.

Police officers, at least those in South Yorkshire, seem to be more worried about possibly hurtful comments on the internet than they do actual crime.

Subjectively hurtful comments don’t kill people, knives and guns used by actual criminals do.
