The progressive left is flat-out warped. They aren’t just a little out there, pushing the edge of what’s acceptable for modernity’s sake. Nope. They’re now officially so open-minded that their brains have actually fallen out of their heads.
Here’s a fine example of this idiocy: a far left Anglican minister in the U.K. masquerading as a speaker for God is now asking his congregants to pray that four-year-old Prince George ends up being homosexual in order to advance gay rights in the Church.
Mr. Holdsworth, the provost of St. Mary’s Cathedral in Glasgow, belongs to the Scottish Episcopal Church, a separate province of the Anglican Communion that voted in June to let its priests solemnize same-sex marriages. In his campaign to expand on that change, Mr. Holdsworth wrote in a blog post on Thursday that believers could “pray in the privacy of their hearts (or in public if they dare) for the Lord to bless Prince George with a love, when he grows up, of a fine young gentleman.”
Lemme repeat that, for the cheap seats: an uber-liberal pastor is actually praying for a four-year-old boy to grow up liking men, just so the church will start condoning gay people.
Of course, if Rev. Kelvin Holdsworth knew the first basic thing about why the Christian church by and large denounces the homosexual lifestyle, he’d understand that its stance doesn’t hinge on whether a British prince does or doesn’t like dudes. So there’s that.
While Holdsworth has quite arguably crossed the line in asking his parishioners to pray for George’s divine gay-ing, it’s not the first time the little boy has landed in the middle of the left’s glitter-filled spotlight. Just last August, an LGBT news outlet praised little George as a “gay icon.” At four years old.
But leave it to the crazy radicals of the modern left – the same nutjobs who claim we should stop holding gender reveal parties for unborn children so as to avoid burdening our offspring with pre-conceived gender identities they didn’t choose – to exploit a small child for their own perverse agenda when it suits them.
