Well, that's a new way to let your political opinions be known to the world. Not too many people are going to come back at you for your opinion right after watching you knock someone out.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Nik Lentz had just won a fight against veteran grappler Gray Maynard by technical knockout (TKO) in the second round of their battle at UFC 229 on Saturday.

Podcaster and UFC announcer Joe Rogan entered the octagon to conduct a post-fight interview with Lentz. That’s when Lentz surprised the crowd by giving a very specific “shout out” to newly-confirmed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

"First and foremost, I want to give a shout out to my homie Brett Kavanaugh," Lentz said, responding to Rogan. "Way to go, Special K."

Take a look:

That was hilarious! I wonder if the "Special K" nickname will stick?

The crowd was so surprised that you couldn’t really hear a reaction in the background. I figured Lentz might’ve got both boos and cheers from the audience, but it was actually pretty silent.

Whatever the reaction, it was a pretty ballsy move for Lentz to make a comment in praise of Kavanaugh on what was a highly anticipated pay-per-view card, highlighted by the controversial Conor McGregor’s fourth round submission loss to UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
