No, the kids aren’t alright. In fact, these two are pretty far from it.
In a story that sounds about a hundred times too Halloween-y for comfort, two middle-school girls were just arrested for – get this – plotting to kill their classmates with knives and drink their blood. Oh, and all in the name of Satan.
ABC explains the two girls, age 11 and 12, were luckily stopped before their planned massacre after someone reported an armed juvenile at their middle school in Bartow, Florida. Authorities caught the 6th and 7th graders hiding in a bathroom with butcher knives, scissors and a pizza slicer, saying the pair – who claim to worship Satan – had planned to attack fellow students sometime during the day.
The 6th and 7th-grade girls attend Bartow Middle School, police say. At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Bartow Police School Resource Officer assigned to the school was summoned to the principal's office in reference to an armed juvenile complaint.
The investigation revealed that the students armed themselves with knives, and planned on attacking fellow students during the school day.
Police also said the girls had a goblet, from which they'd planned to drink their victims' blood The girls later told authorities they’d planned on attacking students as they came into the bathroom, estimating they’d kill around 15 people before finally offing themselves.
“According to police, the girls planned to drink their victims’ blood out of the goblet they were found with. They also discussed eating their victims' flesh and leaving body parts at the school's entrance before killing themselves,” ABC reports.
Police also found text messages between the two in which they'd meticulously planned and discussed their attack.
“They noted that they wanted to kill at least 15 people and were waiting in the bathroom to find smaller kids that they could overpower to be their victims,” Bartow Police Chief Joe Hall said. “I believe that these two small children -- I’m going to call them small children, they are only 11 and 12 -- seriously sat down and plotted to do bodily harm to another student at school.”
The girls reportedly said they believed killing their victims and ingesting their parts would make them guaranteed “sinners,” ensuring that after they killed themselves, they’d go to hell where they could live with Satan. Their parents, on the other hand, are thought to have had no knowledge that their daughters either worshipped the Devil or were planning on massacring a bunch of middle-schoolers.
Both girls were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a weapon on school property, and disrupting a school campus. While their names are being withheld due to their age, it’s still not known whether they’ll be charged as adults or juveniles.
While hell might be temporarily out of the picture for these Satan fanatics, it looks like some form of jail might be right around the corner. And, hopefully, a good stint in the psych ward.
