I think someone said something one time about a “pot” and a “kettle?” I’m not sure.

But what I do know is that Fox News’ Tucker Carlson laid the smackdown on CNN President Jeff Zucker Thursday night.

Carlson took his former boss to task for comments Zucker made about Fox News Channel at the Financial Times Future of News event during the day on Thursday, where he called Fox News “state-run TV” and a “pure propaganda machine.”

“It is really state-run TV,” Zucker said, “it is a pure propaganda machine, and it does an incredible disservice to this country.”

Okay, so Zucker wasn’t talking about his own organization? Maybe he should turn on a TV once in a while and see the drivel CNN is pumping out these days.

Carlson blasted back at Zucker.

“Now we know on some level, all criticism is self-criticism,” Carlson said during Thursday’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” “You accuse others of being what you secretly know you are.”

Then, Carlson spoke of the hypocrisy of Zucker calling anyone “state-run media” when CNN on Wednesday a Turkish pro-President Tayyip Erdogan firm bought the Turkish version of CNN, CNN Turk.

“In Turkey, where it actually matters. CNN is literally state-run TV,” Carlson said. “Zucker didn’t mention that in his remarks today, weirdly.”

Here’s Carlson’s full response to Zucker:

Carlson closed with some pretty serious allegations against Zucker and CNN:

What’s amazing is that few Americans know about any of this. Jeff Zucker has escaped the scrutiny of say — RT — the cable channel that late last year was forced to register as an agent of a foreign government. Yet, Jeff Zucker is also an agent of foreign governments. He takes their money, he runs their propaganda, he hides their internal repression and runs penguin videos instead.

Where else is Jeff Zucker doing this? Good question. Maybe we could use a Congressional hearing or two to find out.

Maybe Zucker should be careful throwing stones from a glass house.
