Trump to Visit San Diego to Inspect Border Wall Prototypes

President Trump is expected to visit San Diego next month to see the prototypes for his proposed border wall.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Trump will inspect the eight prototypes on display at the Otay Mesa construction site come mid-March.

During his first trip to California as President, Trump also plans to attend a Republican National Committee fundraiser in Los Angeles, administration officials told the local newspaper.

President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security has requested $18 billion in funding over the next 10 years to construct the wall.

Trump at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) last week again vowed to build his promised border wall, calling on Congress to help his administration "stop dangerous drugs and criminals from pouring into our country."
