Amid nonstop criticism by the liberal media of the Trump administration’s stance on the migrant caravan barreling toward the U.S.-Mexico border, President Donald Trump on Tuesday trolled former President Barack Obama for his comments about illegal immigration back in 2005.

He posted a video clip on Twitter from the organization For America Tuesday night, showing then-Senator Obama discussing how “we simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently, and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”

“We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States, but those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law,” says then-Sen. Obama (D-Ill.) in the clip. “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently, and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”

“I agree with President Obama 100%!” President Trump’s caption reads.

Obama took a completely different stance just a couple years later.

Other clips of Democrats advocating for much of the same as the current Trump administration on immigration are surfacing, including California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein who said in 1993 that the U.S. needs to “enforce our borders.”

A new Rasmussen poll shows that a majority of Americans agree with the Trump administration that the migrant caravan should not be allowed to cross the border.
