Like Will Smith opined once upon a time when he was still a legitimate rapper, "Parents just don't understand."

A Texas woman on the social media platform TikTok, whose name the Washington Times reports is Tracy Boettcher, posted a video of herself talking about how her "liberal parents" refuse to attend her wedding because she's marrying a conservative man.

Here's what Boettcher said:

So my parents hate my fiance because he’s a conservative and they’re liberal. And they refuse to go to our wedding, and they gave me an ultimatum of choosing between him or them. So, I chose myself and I chose what would make me happiest in the long run. And my mother told me I was incapable of being loved or being in a relationship because I was assaulted when I was 17. So, I chose my fiance, and I will be walking myself down the aisle in December. So, if anyone has a dad that would like to walk me down the aisle, let me know.

If her alleged claims are legit - it's sad you have to say "alleged," but you never know on social media these days - then shame on Boettcher's parents. As long as the guy treats her well, is honest and faithful and makes her happy, who cares whether he's a conservative or a liberal? They clearly don't care about their daughter's happiness.

After many Twitter users suggested someone from the Trump family to walk her down the aisle, Donald Trump Jr. swooped in to the rescue.

You can see Trump Jr.'s tweet below, along with Boettcher's video:

Whether you like the Trumps or not, that was a very nice of Trump Jr. to offer. There's currently no word on whether Boettcher has taken Trump Jr. up on his offer.

The Trump Jr. tweet, as of this writing, has been retweeted over 33,500 times and garnered more than 115,400 likes.
