President Trump told Fox News that the recently released DOJ Inspector General’s report was a “horror show” and that the IG “blew it” by concluding there was no political bias in the investigation.
“You look at what happened, they were plotting against my election,” Trump said Friday.
The IG report released Thursday found ex-FBI Director James Comey to be insubordinate, but it determined there was no bias involved in the Clinton email investigation.
“Well, the end result was wrong, I mean there was total bias. When you look at Peter Strzok and what he said about me - when you look at Comey, and all his moves,” Trump said.
The IG report released new text messages between FBI officials Lisa Page and Peter Strzok —suggesting that they would “stop” Trump from becoming president.
Trump singled out Strozk in a tweet early Friday.
“FBI Agent Peter Strzok, who headed the Clinton & Russia investigations, texted his lover Lisa Page, in the IG Report, that ‘we’ll stop’ candidate Trump from becoming President. Doesn’t get any lower than that!” Trump tweeted.
“It was a pretty good report and then I say that the IG blew it at the end with that statement (claiming there was no bias in the investigation), Trump told Fox News.
“Because when you read that report – it’s almost like Comey. He goes point after point about how guilty Hillary is, and then he said –‘but we’re not going to do anything about it.’
The IG report was a horror show I thought that one sentence of conclusion was ridiculous.”
