President Trump pulled out a major “trump card” on Friday regarding NFL players towards the new NFL national anthem policy.

“You have a lot of people in the NFL in particular, but in sports leagues, they're not proud enough to stand for our National Anthem,” Trump said Friday at the White House. “I don't like that.”

To find a solution, Trump said he's inviting anthem kneelers to

“I'm going to ask them to recommend to me people who were unfairly treated,” Trump said.

That’s certainly one way to do it.

“What I'm going to do is, I'm going to say to them instead of talk ... I am going to ask all of those people to recommend to me -- because that's what they're protesting -- people that they think were unfairly treated by the justice system," Trump continued. "And I understand that.”

Trump is basically punking the players who claim that part of the reason they protest is injustice in the justice system. If that’s really what a portion of these protests are about, then players who kneel or want to protest in some way should have no problem with his request to let him know who has been treated unfairly.

A fair amount of pro-athletes have espoused that Trump is a racist, a sexist and a misogynistic, among other things. What could their excuse to object to anything Trump does possibly be now that he’s essentially giving them what they want?

Also, the move by Trump also indicates that he doesn’t want any American to be ashamed to stand for the national anthem.

It’ll be interesting to see how the players react to Trump’s plan to work with protesters.

Your move, protesters.
