President Trump in a tweet Tuesday night announced that he will reveal the winners of “THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR” on Monday.
What was going to be just a “fake news trophy” awarded to which news network he deemed “most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President” has now has expanded to include multiple recipients in different categories.
“Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!” wrote Trump.
Trump suggested a “Fake News Trophy” contest back in November, saying that major news networks like CNN “are all bad,” with the exception of Fox News Channel.
An email sent to supporters last week said that President Trump would be “crowning the 2017 KING OF FAKE NEWS before the end of the year.”
The crowning will now take place on Monday at 5 p.m. EST. Details to follow.
