After news broke of the Pennsylvania court finding the Pennsylvania’s Catholic Church covered up sexual abuse cases from over 300 priests, Trevor Noah thought it would be funny to make crude jokes about the entire Catholic church and traditional Catholic religious practices at large.

On Wednesday night, Noah weighed in on the court's findings on the Daily Show, where he called the Church a “molesting club with an opening prayer.”

“I'm sorry guys, at some point I feel like we need to stop calling it a church and start calling it what it is: a molesting club with an opening prayer. Because that's what it feels like,” Noah said.

He continued saying “This is becoming so widespread at this point, confession is just going to be a two-way conversation between priests. Like, 'Forgive me, father, for I have sinned. Forgive me, father, for I have sinned.' This s**t never ends."

Noah has quite the history of attacking specific groups, including a history of making anti-Semitic comments via Twitter and saying some particularly vile things about aboriginal Australians.
