A United Nations official who monitors violence against women and girls has warned of an
“increasing trend” of violence in radical transgender activism.

UN Special Rapporteur Reem Alsalem told The Daily Mail that recent attacks against women who
speak out in favor of women-only sports, bathrooms, and prisons have revealed a growing threat to
women and girls. “There is an increasing trend that I have been observing,” Alsalem told The Daily Mail.

Alsalem went on to say that Western countries, including the U.S., must direct their attention to “(ensuring) that the freedom of speech and thought, including on the issues of sex, gender, and gender identity be
protected and upheld.”

Julio Rosas, a writer who testified before Congress in May about far-left extremism, affirmed
Alsalem’s concerns. In comments to The Daily Mail, he noted that trans activists are often attracted to
these kinds of “very far-left groups” with which they share an “anarcho-communist type ideology.”
“They view the US as systematically racist, that it’s subjugated queer people, and that state
passing genocide laws against child mutilations is part of a trans genocide. And they’re fighting back,”
Rosas said.

Some on social media have started using the term “TRANTIFA” to allude to the growing
number of transgender people in ANTIFA
and across the radical activist movement. Rosas contends that
most trans campaigners do not advocate for violence, but TRANTIFA is able to grow and operate on the
fringes of that movement.

Several instances of recent trans activist violence have reinforced these growing concerns. In
March, a transgender shooter killed six people—three 9-year-olds and three adults—at Covenant School
in Nashville, Tennessee. Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines said she was attacked by trans activists
after speaking out against allowing trans athletes to compete in women’s sports at an event at San
Francisco State University in April. On TikTok, multiple transgender activists have posted threatening
content, including Tara Jay who threatened anyone who tried to “stop me from going into the women’s
bathroom” and Kayla Denker who posted a video with a military-style weapon threatening
“transphobes” who would contribute to the “genocide” of trans people.

Lierre Keith, founder of the Women’s Liberation Front, has tracked the emergence of
TRANTIFA for years. She asserted that proponents of radical trans activism have gotten “completely
worked up” over the social environment of today and genuinely believe that there is a “genocide”
against trans people.

“If you really think you’re under that kind of threat, then you can justify anything,” Keith told
The Daily Mail.
