One of the top universities in the world is hosting a craft session to make vulva puppets as part of its Welcome Week activities for incoming freshmen.

A post on the Edinburgh University Students’ Association website states a 2017 Welcome Week event is a “SEXPRESSION CRAFTERNOON.” According to the description, the “chilled out craft session” hosted in the Chaplaincy will include making “vulva puppets”:

SEXPRESSION: EDINBURGH Come along to our chilled craft session; hopefully we will be making vulva puppets! This will be a chance to meet some lovely people and learn a bit more about Sexpression. Tea, biscuits, and materials all provided.

While this particular Welcome Week event is free, other Welcome Week events require tickets or a Welcome Week wristband that costs £42 (approximately $55).

Other Welcome Week events include an “INTRO TO THE LGBTQ+ SCENE” at a gay bar, an “accessible, intersectional, queer feminist party” named “CHECK YOURSELF,” and a Cosmo “SEXPERT” quiz with proceeds going towards the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre.

The “SEXPRESSION CRAFTERNOON” will be hosted on Sept. 16, 2017.

According to the U.S. News and World Report review of universities from 2017, the University of Edinburgh is ranked as the #36 best global university. It is also ranked is sixth best global university in Europe and the fifth best global university in the United Kingdom.
