Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi doesn’t support the idea of a border wall – and her reasons may give us some insight into how her mind works.

Here's a list:

#5. Walls are immoral.

Yes. Nancy says this. Often.

How a barrier at the border of a free country that allows people to come and go through it in an orderly, legal, process is immoral - is something she never actually explains.

#4. Walls are a symbol of hate.

Pelosi has tweeted that the border wall proposed by Trump is a symbol of hate. Maybe all walls are symbols of hate to Nancy?  She does likes to tweet these things without explaining herself.

#3. A wall would hurt community trade.

“I do know Representatives in the House and Senators in that body, from the border areas have some serious objection to a wall  - to a wall,” Pelosi said in February.

“Because they know how detrimental it can be to the community trade to all the other aspects of a border.”

All those aspects of a border, except say…security.

#2. The border wall would be too high.

“Did you see it? How high it is?” Pelosi said during a press conference this month. That was before she called it "obnoxious."

Yeah, border walls are high. That would seem to be the point, to make them tough to get over. You know what else is high? (no, not Nancy) The grass at the border.

#1. Mowing the grass is an alternative.

Yes, she actually suggested that mowing the grass at the border might be a more appropriate border control measure.

So it would seem only a small, short wall in certain places where there is no grass to mow would be acceptable to Pelosi for border security. Well, as long as it wasn’t immoral and the wall wasn't a symbol of hate.
