Tony Blair’s Christmas Card Is So Unbelievably Scary, People Thought It Was a Spoof

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair sent out a Christmas card with a photo where he poses with his wife. There’s just one problem: his face is so “fabulously awkward” that it doesn’t look like it could possibly have been sent out this way. And yet Mr. Blair’s office confirmed it is “indeed the Blairs’ official card for 2014.”

Twitter lit up with responses to the card, comparing his face to that of the Demon Headmaster - or Chandler Bing from "Friends" when he ineptly tried to pose for a studio photo with his fiance, Monica:

The former British Prime Minister, best known for his support (with President George W. Bush) of the Iraq war, has been criticized for his Christmas cards before.

The BBC reports:

The Blairs have a difficult past when it comes to Christmas cards. While in Downing Street, they were regularly castigated for including pictures of their young children (2001), or choosing pictures in which Cherie looked good and her children looked uncomfortable (2003), or pictures which excluded their children but looked like something out of a Boden catalogue (2004).

Bet they wish they could take back that criticism – there is absolutely no way that any of those cards could match this one in sheer, terrifying awkwardness.
