Texas Grand Jury Clears Planned P'Hood, Indicts Pro-Life Group

A grand jury in Texas charged with investigating a local Planned Parenthood affiliate on allegations that the clinic was illegally selling fetal tissue from aborted babies has cleared the abortion giant of all charges.

Instead, the jury indicted the man behind the now-famous undercover videos purporting to show Planned Parenthood officials selling baby organs -- with one charge apparently "related to purchasing human organs."

USA Today reported Monday evening:

Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson announced Monday that Center for Medical Progress founder David Daleiden was indicted on a felony charge of tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count related to purchasing human organs. Another activist was also indicted on a charge of tampering with a governmental record.

Daleiden, along with other pro-life activists with the Center for Medical Progress, released a string of undercover videos last summer in which CMP “employees” posed as a tissue procurement company. Using a hidden camera, the group spoke with a slew of Planned Parenthood officials about potentially buying fetal tissue harvested from aborted children.

In several videos, abortionists pick through dishes of tiny body parts while discussing the potential sale value of various organs.

On Jan. 14, Planned Parenthood announced they will sue Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress, alleging the pro-life group engaged in “secret taping with an unlawful purpose.”
