President Trump on Wednesday slammed Virginia Democrats for pushing a bill that would allow abortion up until the moment before birth – even during labor.

Trump in an interview with The Daily Caller called the Democrats’ stance on removing restrictions on third-trimester abortions “terrible” and said that this will “lift up the whole pro-life movement like maybe it’s never been lifted before.”

"I thought it was terrible," said the president. "Do you remember when I said Hillary Clinton was willing to rip the baby out of the womb? That’s what it is, that’s what they’re doing, it’s terrible."

“This is going to lift up the whole pro-life movement like maybe it’s never been lifted up before,” he added.

As MRCTV reported, the proposed measure is "a sad attempt to follow in the footsteps of the new baby killing laws in New York.”

Going even further was the governor of Virginia, Gov. Ralph Northam, who seemed to suggest on Wednesday that mothers could decide to kill their babies after birth:

“Speaking on WTOP’s ‘Ask The Governor’ Wednesday, Northam defended his position supporting a bill proposed in the Virginia Assembly that would legalize elective abortions on demand through the ninth month of pregnancy all the way up until the moment of birth,” reports MRCTV. “When asked to respond to public outrage over the proposal, Northam seemed to suggest that not only can babies be terminated up until the moment they’re born, but that full-term, born-alive infants can be left to die without medical care if the mother wishes.”

The bill has since been tabled, following outrage across the nation after a video went viral of the bill’s author Del. Kathy Tran saying that an abortion could take place while a woman is dilating – just moments before a child gets to take their first breath.
