Doppelganger Highlights Sanders' Ill-Fated Pharma-Fix Rally

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) held a rally in Hollywood, Calif., on Friday in support of a proposition in the state of California that promises to lower the high costs of prescription drugs.

The barely-promoted event suffered low initial turnout reflecting the poor publicity.

At 3 P.M., the scheduled start time, attendees with their free, blue "Yes on 61" shirts barely filled out the front of the stage.

As late as 4 P.M., the event coordinators were hustling to bus people in from around the Hollywood area.

As if the coordinators didn’t have enough problems with the low turnout and the late start time, their bus literally got stuck in the entrance on its way into the venue (SEE VIDEO).

Sen. Sanders arrived around 4:30 P.M. He didn't take the stage until 4:55 P.M., almost two hours late.

The highlight of the event aside from Sanders was an appearance by his doppelganger - sporting an "I AM NOT BERNIE" sweatshirt.

“It was my daughter’s idea!” he told onlookers caught staring because of the uncanny resemblance.

The turnout improved by 4:30 P.M., to the relief of “Yes on 61,” though an hour and a half past the event’s scheduled starting time.
